Thus, the user may define as many as forty smaller compartments using these sublayers, <br />' resulting in an increase in the resolution of the model <br /> 3.2 SESOEL Cycles <br /> Pollutant transport and transformation in the unsaturated soil zone are complex processes <br /> affected by chemical, soil, and hydrogeological properties In SF-SOIL, these processes are <br /> included in one of three cycles: the hydrologic cycle to deal with moisture movement or flow <br /> through the compartment, the sediment or washload cycle to deal with runoff from the soil <br /> surface, and the pollutant fate cycle.
