22 October 2009
AGE-NC Project No. 00-0697
of boring MW6,sandy silt, silty sand, sand and clayey sand were encountered.Soil boring and well
completion logs are presented in Appendix C.Cross sections A-A'and B-B'depict general Iithology
beneath the site(Figures 3 and 4,respectively).
3.0. SENSITIVE RECEPTOR SURVEY
A sensitive receptor survey is required as part of site characterization requirements under the
California Code of Regulations(CCR)-Title 23,Division 3,Chapter 16,Section 2654.As a result
of this California CCR requirement,a sensitive receptor survey was performed at the site between
August and October 2005.The sensitive receptor survey consisted of identifying septic systems and
municipal, domestic, irrigation or ground water monitoring wells within a 2,000 foot radius of the
site. The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1. Site
structures are depicted in Figure 2.
According to property owner Charles Jacobs, drinking water at the site is currently supplied by a
domestic water well located on the adjacent property at 15010 Glasscock Road, Lodi, CA; a
domestic water well is also located on-site,but is not used for drinking water. AGE was unable to
ascertain the total depths and construction details of the two domestic water wells. In addition, two
septic tanks are located on the east side of the property.
In August 2005, an AGE representative reviewed well drillers' reports from the California
Department of Water Resources-Central District for water wells located in the surrounding area.
Drillers' reports for two water wells located within a 2,000-foot radius of the site were identified;
a driller's report for the installation of one domestic well located at 13999 West Highway 12 and one
test well located approximately 100 feet south of Highway 12 were recovered. Copies of the well
driller's reports are included in Appendix F; a summary of water wells located from the review of
well driller's reports is included in Table 6 and a location of wells are depicted in Figure 8.
On 05 October 2005, an AGE representative performed a reconnaissance of visually observable
potential sensitive receptors located within a 2,000-foot radius ofthe site.During the reconnaissance,
one domestic well was located on the eastern end of the Terminous Market site. No other visible
potential receptors were noted during the reconnaissance.
4.0. ASSESSMENT OF HYDROCARBON-IMPACTED SOIL
Between March 2000 and February 2008,nine soil borings(B 1 through B9),five soil vapor borings
(SV-1 through SV-5), and six ground water monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-6) were
installed/advanced at the site as part of an ongoing subsurface leaking UST investigation.Analytical
Advoeced GmEmvimemeeal,lec.
