7 '
o Two composite soil samples ' wilI be collected from the re-
excavated area in Pit B. One composite soil sample will be
collected from the north, east and west sidewalls of the T`
extended excavation,' 1 ' above the excavation bottom and the
second composite sample will be collected from two locations 5
on the excavation floor. Both samples will be analyzed for
TPH-G BTX&E and Extractable Lead.4-- Eba
o A single water sample will be collected from the on-site
irrigation well . :This sample will be collected after allowing
the well to purge for a minimum of ten minutes and will be
collected from the closest accessible tap. This water sample
will be analyzed for TPH-G, BTX&E, Total Lead and Ethylene
Dibromide (EDB) .
o Soil samples will be collected by driving a metal sleeve or
tube into the soil to recover an undisturbed soil core. The
soil cores will be sealed, labeled and placed on ice for
transport to the laboratory.
Schedule
Upon receipt of approval of this Work Plan from the EHD, WESTON can
mobilize in less than a week to complete the sampling. .
The sample ianalysis will require three weeks and a minimum of eight
days will be required for the report preparation.
M
Reporting E
Upon receipt of the sample analytical results, WESTON will prepare
a site investigation report which will contain a complete discus-
sion of all field sampling activities and analytical results.
Additionally, the report will compare the analytical results with
published regulatory standards and will follow the format guide-
lines of the Tri-Regional Recommendations document.
Certifications
All work will be supervised by a California registered geologist
and all analytical work will be done by a laboratory certified by
the State of California to perform the analyses required for this
project.
