As requested by Raymond Quaresma <br /> and Steve Mothershed, the property owners, we have prepared this interim summary presenting the <br /> current environmental status of the property. <br /> The purpose of our work was to characterize and remediate petroleum hydrocarbon-contaminated soils <br /> discovered beneath the property in April, 1990. An evaluation of existing ground water quality beneath <br /> the affected area of the property was also included in our workscope. <br /> Soil borings drilled on the property during our September, 1990,Environmental Site Assessment indicated <br /> shallow subsurface soils contamination in the vicinity of the southwesterly comer of the property. We <br /> were able to define the lateral and vertical extents of subsurface soils contamination utilizing the data <br /> generated during our site assessment. Subsequently,approximately 360 cubic yards of affected soils were <br /> excavated and stockpiled on site in January, 1991. The resulting excavation was roughly rectangular- <br /> shaped, extending between 90 to 180 feet easterly of the eastern pavement edge of Harlan Road and <br /> 3050 INDUSTRIAL BOULEVARD - PO BOX 1137 • WEST SACRAMENTO,CA 95691 (916)372-1434 - FAX(916)372-2565 <br />
