January 2, 2007 <br /> NOA PROJECT NUMBER E06109A <br /> Attached is the borehole log for monitoring well LP-513 (see Appendix B - Plate 132). <br /> Monitoring well LP-513 was advanced to a total depth of 25 feet bgs. Monitoring well LP- <br /> 513 was designed to be screened between 10 and 25 feet bgs. <br /> 3.4 Soil Lithology Description <br /> Soil descriptions were made based on the Unified Soil Classification System. Soil was <br /> observed in the sampler (approximately 1.5 feet long) every five feet, drill cuttings were <br /> observed, and drill speeds and drill conditions were watched in an attempt to help <br /> identify the lithology of the boreholes. <br /> 3.4. 1 Lithology of Borehole LP-5B <br /> The Lithology of the borehole is dipicted on the borehole log for monitoring well LP-513 <br /> (see Appendix B - Plate 132). The screened interval appeared to be mostly sandy <br /> material. <br /> Saturated conditions were encountered within the borehole at 15 feet bgs to the total <br /> depth of the borehole. <br /> 3.5 Monitoring Well Installation <br /> The original monitoring well LP-5 was constructed to a depth of 25 feet bgs; the new <br /> replacement monitoring well LP-513 was constructed to a depth of 25 feet bgs. <br /> The monitoring well was constructed on December 19, 2006. The monitoring well <br /> completion log is presented on Appendix B - Plate 132. The monitoring well LP-513 was <br /> developed on December 22, 2006. <br /> 3.6 Monitoring Well Survey <br /> Monitoring well elevations and horizontal locations were determined by professional <br /> survey. Shoup Land Surveying was onsite on December 22, 2006 to conduct the survey <br /> of the monitoring well casing. The professional surveyor's letter of transmittal of survey <br /> results is included as Appendix C - Monitoring Well Survey. Location and elevation <br /> information is also included on the borehole log of the well. The well location shown in <br /> the site map (Appendix A - Plate 3) reflect the relative well position as determined by <br /> professional survey. <br /> 4 "0144 <br />
