January 2, 2007
NOA PROJECT NUMBER E06109A
Attached is the borehole log for monitoring well LP-513 (see Appendix B - Plate 132).
Monitoring well LP-513 was advanced to a total depth of 25 feet bgs. Monitoring well LP-
513 was designed to be screened between 10 and 25 feet bgs.
3.4 Soil Lithology Description
Soil descriptions were made based on the Unified Soil Classification System. Soil was
observed in the sampler (approximately 1.5 feet long) every five feet, drill cuttings were
observed, and drill speeds and drill conditions were watched in an attempt to help
identify the lithology of the boreholes.
3.4. 1 Lithology of Borehole LP-5B
The Lithology of the borehole is dipicted on the borehole log for monitoring well LP-513
(see Appendix B - Plate 132). The screened interval appeared to be mostly sandy
material.
Saturated conditions were encountered within the borehole at 15 feet bgs to the total
depth of the borehole.
3.5 Monitoring Well Installation
The original monitoring well LP-5 was constructed to a depth of 25 feet bgs; the new
replacement monitoring well LP-513 was constructed to a depth of 25 feet bgs.
The monitoring well was constructed on December 19, 2006. The monitoring well
completion log is presented on Appendix B - Plate 132. The monitoring well LP-513 was
developed on December 22, 2006.
3.6 Monitoring Well Survey
Monitoring well elevations and horizontal locations were determined by professional
survey. Shoup Land Surveying was onsite on December 22, 2006 to conduct the survey
of the monitoring well casing. The professional surveyor's letter of transmittal of survey
results is included as Appendix C - Monitoring Well Survey. Location and elevation
information is also included on the borehole log of the well. The well location shown in
the site map (Appendix A - Plate 3) reflect the relative well position as determined by
professional survey.
4 "0144
