The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for LPS WATER CO/TOWER PARK MARINA as of Junel2 , 2020 . <br /> Open violations from February 25, 2020 inspection <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date) . <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Violation #713 - UWH stored UW onsite greater than one year or was unable to demonstrate storage time . <br /> OBSERVATION The facility could not demonstrate that universal waste ( UW) has been stored on site for no longer <br /> than one year. Two UW lamps were observed leaning against a wall in the water pump house at the filter plant <br /> The lamps had cobwebs and dust on them . <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> ( a) A universal waste handler shall accumulate universal waste for no longer than one year from the date the <br /> universal waste was generated , or was received from another universal waste handler . <br /> ( b) A universal waste handler shall be able to demonstrate the length of time that the universal waste has been <br /> accumulated from the date it became a waste or was received . The universal waste handler may make this <br /> demonstration by: <br /> ( 1 ) Placing the universal waste in a container and marking or labeling the container with the earliest date that any <br /> universal waste in the container became a waste or was received ; <br /> (2 ) Marking or labeling the individual item of universal waste (e . g . , each battery or thermostat) with the date it <br /> became a waste or was received ; <br /> ( 3) Maintaining an inventory system onsite that identifies the date the universal waste being accumulated became a <br /> waste or was received ; <br /> (4 ) Maintaining an inventory system onsite that identifies the earliest date that any universal waste in a group of <br /> items of universal waste or a group of containers of universal waste became a waste or was received ; <br /> ( 5 ) Placing the universal waste in a specific accumulation area and marking or labeling the area to identify the <br /> earliest date that any universal waste in the area became a waste or was received ; or <br /> (6) Any other method which clearly demonstrates the length of time that the universal waste has been accumulated <br /> from the date it became a waste or was received . <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION : Since it could not be demonstrated how long this UW was stored on site , immediately <br /> dispose of this UW in accordance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations . Provide a corrective action <br /> statement, the disposal record and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department ( EHD) within 30 days . <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by ( date) . <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation : <br /> Page 4 of 4 <br />
