The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for LPS WATER CO/TOWER PARK MARINA as of June12, 2020. <br /> Open violations from February 25, 2020 inspection <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#713 - UWH stored UW onsite greater than one year or was unable to demonstrate storage time. <br /> OBSERVATION The facility could not demonstrate that universal waste (UW) has been stored on site for no longer <br /> than one year. Two UW lamps were observed leaning against a wall in the water pump house at the filter plant <br /> The lamps had cobwebs and dust on them. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> (a)A universal waste handler shall accumulate universal waste for no longer than one year from the date the <br /> universal waste was generated, or was received from another universal waste handler. <br /> (b)A universal waste handler shall be able to demonstrate the length of time that the universal waste has been <br /> accumulated from the date it became a waste or was received. The universal waste handler may make this <br /> demonstration by: <br /> (1) Placing the universal waste in a container and marking or labeling the container with the earliest date that any <br /> universal waste in the container became a waste or was received; <br /> (2) Marking or labeling the individual item of universal waste (e.g., each battery or thermostat)with the date it <br /> became a waste or was received; <br /> (3) Maintaining an inventory system onsite that identifies the date the universal waste being accumulated became a <br /> waste or was received; <br /> (4) Maintaining an inventory system onsite that identifies the earliest date that any universal waste in a group of <br /> items of universal waste or a group of containers of universal waste became a waste or was received; <br /> (5) Placing the universal waste in a specific accumulation area and marking or labeling the area to identify the <br /> earliest date that any universal waste in the area became a waste or was received; or <br /> (6)Any other method which clearly demonstrates the length of time that the universal waste has been accumulated <br /> from the date it became a waste or was received. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Since it could not be demonstrated how long this UW was stored on site, immediately <br /> dispose of this UW in accordance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations. Provide a corrective action <br /> statement, the disposal record and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department(EHD) within 30 days. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Page 4 of 4 <br />
