The PHS/EHD formulated their response in two subheadings: <br /> Groundwater Contamination and Soil Contamination. This letter responds similarly. <br /> I <br /> i <br /> GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION <br /> Domestic Well Sampling: <br /> The PHS/EHD fetter stated that groundwater samples should continue to be collected monthly from the <br /> domestic wells located at 9172 Thornton Road and 9156 Connie Avenue and quarterly from domestic <br /> wells 8968, 9036, 9140, and 1912. The monthly sampling request was based on 1992 groundwater data <br /> Indicating that contamination was detected in the samples collected from domestic wells 9172 (IVY) and <br /> 9156. <br /> Table 1 Attachment 1 resents a summa of the analytical results for domestic wells 9156 and 9172 <br /> ( ) p summary Yt <br /> from 1992 through June of 1993. As noted in the table, hydrocarbon concentrations were detected once <br /> in domestic well 9156 on October 29, 1992 and in domestic well 9172 (IVY) on April 21, 1992 at well <br /> below the State of California drinking water action levels (Table 2). <br /> i <br /> E <br /> Offices throughout the U.S.,Canada and Overseas <br />
