The site is located on the northeast comer <br /> of Thornton Road and Waudman Avenue. Fluor Daniel GTI,on behalf of The Southland'Corporation,ties <br /> completed the environmental investigation at the subject site and has received approval from the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division(SJCEHD)to abandon all associated groundwater <br /> monitoring wells. At this time,we are requesting authorization to access your property to.remove and <br /> abandon groundwater monitoring well MW-14 located at 9160 Thornton Road. Enclosed you will find an <br /> Access Agreement authorized by The Southland Corporation for your review and approval. Witty the <br /> abandonment of the well,no other groundwater"monitoring well will be in operation on your property. <br /> The groundwater monitoring well would be abandoned by removing the surface well box and head,drilling <br /> out the surface cement and PVC pipe,and pressure groWng the former well boring back to within 2 feet of <br /> surface grade. The remaining hole will be backfilled with cement and finished to the surface to match the <br /> e>dsting grade.
