The data available in the RWQCB files consisted of reports prepared by <br /> Southland's consultant,Groundwater Technology,Inc. (GTI),and correspondence from regulatory <br /> agencies up to February of 199,0. A site visit. was conducted by a Brown and Caldwell <br /> representative on January 15, 1990 to inspect the remediation system in-place on the site and to <br /> determine the environmental setting. <br /> Site Visit <br /> The 7-Eleven property was visited by a Brown and.Caldwell engineer on January 15, 1990. The <br /> engineer inspected the on-site groundwater and soil-vent system. The system appeared in good <br /> working order with no visible emissions from the air stripping tower. <br /> Background <br /> The following information has been obtained from reports prepared by GTI. <br /> In March of 1986, a 10,000-gallon unleaded gasoline tank system at the 7-Eleven Gasoline <br /> service station located at 9110 Thornton Road was discovered to not be product-tight. The <br /> system was shut down on April 2, 1986. Gasoline is believed to have leaked from product and <br /> I <br />
