j
Cr
1
r
January 9, 1990
Walt Lubcke
Southland Corp.
5820 Stoneridge Rd.
Pleasanton, Ca. 94
RE: 7-11 STORE IN REPLY REFER TO: SITE CODE: 1886
9110 THORNTON RD.
STOCKTON, CA. 95210
i
We have received the "Project Quarterly Update Report" dated
November 2 , 1989 . The following .items should be submitted under an
addendum in order to expedite our review:
a) Boring logs for well cluster 15 are missing. Please
provide the necessary information regarding each of the
wells in this cluster. }
b) Submit the boring log for pumping well 3 .
C) Please indicate your definition of the term "gauged" as
used .in paragraph 3 on page 10 in reference to monitoring
well 15 (A,B,C) and monitoring well 16.
p
d) Identify well sampling locations with street addresses
and names of the property owners.
In response to your inquiry of sampling reduction, the CVRWQCS
until 5-19-89 was the primary regulatory agency. At the time, the
site was entered into the Pilot 'Iprogram. Your request for a
reduced well sampling schedule had only reached our office June 12,
1989 and at our June 13 , 1989 meeting we explained we were not
prepared to discuss your request.
E'
We did, however, request site datain the form of cross-sectional
diagrams of lithology in order to evaluate the request.
Unfortunately, only a small porti`an of the recent site work has
been graphically diagramed.
In order to evaluate Southland's 'request for a reduction in the
frequency in sampling, prepare an&,submit a scaled cross-sectional
diagram of all the monitoring : wells, pumping wells, vapor
extraction wells and the one recovery well, indicating screened
intervals, general lithography, and water elevations.
;3 k
4 ;
