You were good eln=gh .to call me on November 16,
1989 concerning remediation efforts on the referenced
underground sotrage tank leak.
I enclose for your information' a report prepared by
Leedshill-Herkenhoff, Inc. for another party in connection
with the potential acquisition of our client's property.
Attached to the and of the report is a compilation of the test
results obtained from samples out of the monitoring wells and
the water well from the Tomato Growers' property. You will
,f see the spikes of benzene that we discussed. They show up in
test reports on the domestic well dated october 16, 1987 and
February 11, 1988. Spikes also 'occurred in tests on
monitoring well number 12 on Apr..i1 -14, 1987 and May 12, 1987
and in monitoring well number 8 at various levels from time to
time. The benzene referenced spikes all exceed the California,.,
i Department of Health services current maximum concentration
f standard for benzene of 1. 0 ppb.; With this information before Y-
you, I would be grateful if you could revisit your analysis of "'
the -level of contamination affecting the Tomato Growers+ well
and whether or not the drinking water is safe for consumption. -,.,
f
r
I
