The reason <br /> for this postponement is because all the information <br /> generated thus far indicates groundwater flow to be in the <br /> southeast direction. One of our concerns has been the closed <br /> service station on Connie & Thornton. The tanks are still <br /> there, although they are not being used. The quality of the <br /> tanks and soil has yet to be determined as I understand from <br /> Laurie Cotulla, San Joaquin Department of Environmental <br /> Health. <br /> It would seem that this closed station is very slow to comply <br /> with AB1362. If there is a problem, it 's possible that MW-14 <br /> and MW-11 could be affected depending on the severity. <br /> Ground Water Technology tells me that their field people <br /> indicate the presence of a degraded gasoline smell in MW-14. <br /> We ask that you give us an opinion as to how to proceed on <br /> placement or not of this additional well. <br /> Additionally, we would like to get the upgradient bottled <br /> water customers off of bottled water if the current sampling <br /> and previous samples support this concept. If the numbers <br /> look good, we will ask you and Laurie to make a decision.
