Box 404
Pleasanton, CA 94566--0040 FEB 13 i387
ENVIROMENTA4_ HEALTH
Re: Attached Project Update Report FERMIT/SERVICES
Dear Dave,
Attached herewith is Groundwater Technology, Inc. ' s project
update report for the 7--Eleven store located at 9110 Thornton
Road, Stockton, California. The report presents the activities
and observations at the site through January 19, 1987. This
letter addresses concerns raised at the interagency meeting on
December 29, 1986 and provides recommendations based on the
current conditions at the site.
To further define the areal extent of the dissolved hydro-
carbon plume beneath the site, installation of two previously
proposed monitoring wells, MW13 and MW14, should be completed.
The wells should be constructed to accomodate the installation of
a pumping system if necessary. The installation of these two
wells is currently scheduled for the week of Febuary 2, 1987.
The most recent sampling of groundwater from the monitoring
wells at the site suggests that the dissolved plume may extend in
a southeasterly direction as far as monitoring well 10 . If on
the next scheduled sampling, February 9, 1987 , the presence of
dissolved hydrocarbons is again noted in monitoring well 10, the
installation of a pumping system should be implemented within
pumping well 2 or monitoring well 10. The pumping system
initially proposed for pumping well 2 was installed in monitoring
well 12 because of the presence of dissolved hydrocarbons within
the well which is in close proximity to the domestic well TMG.
00iu off[cvs:Redondo Beach,CA:Tampa, FL;MmWeville.
