(GTT) at the 7-Eleven (Store No. <br /> 20680) located at 9110 Thornton Road in Stockton, California <br /> (Figure 1) . As shown on the Site Plan (Figure 2) , the store is <br /> situated on the northeast corner of Thornton Road and Waudman <br /> Avenue in a mixed commercial and residential area. This report <br /> covers the period from April 1, 1988 through Sep ember 30, 1988• <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> In April 1986, GTI was retained by Southland Corporation to <br /> conduct a subsurface investigation of a suspected unleaded- <br /> gasoline release. at the above-mentioned location. Subsequent to <br /> the initial investigation, which found subsurface contamination, <br /> a recovery/treatment system was installed to address the <br /> dissolved and free-product phases of groundwater contamination. <br /> A soil-vent system was later installed to treat the adsorbed- <br /> phase of contamination in the soils.
