).A <br /> f^� <br /> 1 <br /> 3 <br /> t 1 <br /> PROJECT QUARTERLY UPDATE REPORT <br /> 7-ELEVEN STORE <br /> 9110 THORNTON ROAD <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> AUGUST 30, 1990 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents a quarterly update of services <br /> " conducted by Groundwater Technology, Inc. at 7-Eleven Store <br /> No. 20680, located at 9110 Thornton Road in Stockton, California <br /> (Figure 1) . As shown on the Site Plan (Figure 2) , the store is <br /> situated on the northern corner of Thornton Road and Waudman <br /> Avenue in a mixed commercial and residential area. This report <br /> summarizes work performed by Groundwater Technology between <br /> April 1, 1990 and June 30, 1990. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> I~ In April, 1986, Groundwater Technology was retained by <br /> Southland Corporation to sondtct a subsurface investigation of <br /> a suspected unleaded--gasoline release at the above-mentioned <br /> location. An unleaded fuel-delivery system failure had been <br /> detected during a precision tank-system test conducted on March <br /> 28, 1986. The unleaded underground-storage tank and distribution <br /> system was shut down April 2, 1986. On May 5, 1986, excavations <br /> at the site to expose fuel and vapor lines indicated that the <br /> source of the loss was a fuel line located beneath the concrete <br /> slab adjacent to the pump islands. <br /> i <br /> GHOUNIA AUR <br /> Ttr►f�u�.cx,v.lsr. <br />
