NMI
7-Eleven/Stockton 18
August 1990
GROUNDWATER SAMPLING AND ANALXSES
Sampling of the operational d aundwater monitoring wells,
pumping wells PW-1, PW-2, and PW-3, and nearby domestic wells was
performed during this reporting period. Since wells PW-1, PW-2,
a:sd PW-3 are not being used as pumping wells, they were sampled
as monitoring wells. Samples were collected in accordance with
Groundwater Technology SOPS 9, 10, 11, and 12 (Appendix C) . 1
Groundwater sampling was conducted by first purging water from
each well using a clean polyvinyl chloride (PVC) bailer. Each
well was purged of a minimum of four well volumes of water by
hand bailing, unless the well cou:d oe purged dry. The ground-
water was then allowed to recover to at least 80 percent of the
original static water-level prior to sampling. The groundwater
samples were obtained using an EPA-approved TeflonR sampler.
Water samples were also collected from the domestic wells, which
are listed in Table 2.
TABLE 2
DOMESTIC WELL OWNERS
WELL ID ADDRESS OWNER
TMG 9036 Thornton Road Tomato Growers Assoc.
1927 1927 Waudman Road Chan
1912 1912 Waudman Avenue Woods
8968 8968 Thornton Road Kingdom Hall/Jehovah Witness
9160 9160 Thornton :Road Thornton House Furniture/Rocha
9140 9140 Connie Avenue Shimado
9159 9159 Connie Avenue Cortez
9156 9156 Connie Avenue Snyder
9167 9167 Connie Avenue Alter
9172 9172 Thornton Road Ivy Motel/Lang
All samples were collected in laboratory-supplied
containers, labeled, preserved, and stored on ice.
