7-Eleven/Stockton 23
February 1990
The results of the groundwater sampling indicate that the
distribution of dissolved hydrocarbons in the groundwater beneath
the site is concentrated near the former underground-tank and
pump-island locations. The surrounding domestic wells did not
contain detectable levels of dissolved hydrocarbons during this
reporting period.
The remediation system operated by Groundwater Technology at
the site consists of groundwater-extraction system. Groundwater
was extracted from recovery well RW-1 at a rate of 0.6 to
2.2 gpm.
FUTURE WORK
In addition to the continuing regularly scheduled operation
and maintenance of the remediation system and monitoring and
sampling of the groundwater, additional assessment is currently
being implemented.
These activities include:
- o Additional site characterization involving the drilling
of one additional monitoring-well cluster located on
site in the vicinity of the underground-storage tanks.
c The wellhead elevation of MW-5 will be raised in order
to permit access to the well during the winter months.
o All other wellheads will be upgraded with water-tight
expansion caps and new locks.
o Wellhead elevations will be professionally surveyed
following wellhead repairs.
GROUNDWATER
TECHNOLOGY,INC.
