All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #2 Pool Enclosure <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Fence bar at north/east end is loose. Repair all damaged bars, immediately to prevent an accidental <br /> drowning. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool area shall be enclosed by one or more of the following:a fence,portion of a building, wall, or other <br /> approved durable enclosure.Pool enclosure shall be constructed over a hard permanent material equivalent to concrete and shall be <br /> installed no more than 2 inches above the finished grade. Holes,gaps,or openings in the enclosure shall not allow the passage of a <br /> 4-inch diameter sphere.Doors, openable windows,or gates of living quarters shall not be permitted as part of the pool enclosure. (CBC <br /> 31198) Pool operator shall keep the pool enclosure well maintained. (CCR 65535) Pool enclosure shall have a minimum effective <br /> perpendicular height of 5 feet and shall be constructed so that it cannot be climbed by small children.Horizontal members shall be spaced <br /> at least 48 inches apart. No planters or other climbable structures shall be permitted within 5 feet of the pool enclosure or within a 5-foot <br /> arc. Chain link openings shall not be larger than 1314 inches when measured horizontally. Pool enclosures with a height of 4 or more feet <br /> are allowed if the enclosure was constructed prior to July 1994. (CBC 31196) <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br /> OBSERVATIONS:There is excess old vegetation on deck. Clean on a routine basis to prevent it from blowing into pools <br /> water. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br /> top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br /> diving board,ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31148)Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #18 Pool Shell and Tile <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Shell is heavily pitted. Plan to have pool re-plastered soon. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br /> and scrubbing.A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency.
