All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #1 Pool Gates <br /> OBSERVATIONS:North end gate is not self closing. Repair immediately to prevent an accidental drowning. <br /> Pool is currently closed due to COVID-19. Cleaning lady stated that customers are still able to enter pool area. To prevent <br /> anyone from entering, padlock both gates. Correct, immediately. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br /> Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br /> except where otherwise prohibited by law. (CBC 31198) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br /> maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The following 2 signs are missing (repeat violation): Sign with site name and address and one with the <br /> phone number of nearest hospital. Provide, immediately. <br /> North gate lacks"keep gate closed"sign. Provide by 1 week(repeat violation). <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31206) <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Pole with body hook and life ring with rope are not accessible due to overgrown vegetation.They shall <br /> be immediately trimmed and trimmed on a routine basis. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained,readily visible,and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope.
