The agreement includes a specified amount of money that our agency will be reimbursed
for the costs associated with overseeing the corrective action. In past years, the amount of the
LOP reimbursement money was sufficient to cover all of the EHD oversight costs. That is no
longer the case. Therefore, the EHD now charges responsible parties directly for well/boring
permit inspections and other EHD required inspections.
The EHD staff time (including travel) spent overseeing site field-work and making inspections
(i.e. soil sampling, boring/monitoring well installation) is charged to the responsible party for the
site. Invoices are sent out on a monthly basis. The invoiced amount will be the EHD staff time
multiplied by the END hourly rate, currently $98.
These oversight costs may be reimbursable through the CSWRCB Underground Storage Tank
(UST) Cleanup Fund. Information can be obtained from the CSWRCB UST Cleanup Fund web
site at http://www.swrcb.ca.govlcwphomelustcfl.
Enclosed is a master file record form that indicates where and to whom the invoices will be sent.
If this information is not correct, please line through the incorrect information and write in the
correct billing information.
If you have any questions contact me at (209) 468-3449.
Margaret Lagorio, REHS
Program Coordinator
Enc.
