' Project Quarterly Update Report July 30, 1991
9110 Thornton Road, Stockton, California Page 14
SUMMARY
' Groundwater monitoring data has documented a decrease in the water table elevation of
approximately 0 2-0 3 feet during this reporting period The average depth to water in June,1991
' was approximately 35-feet below mean sea level 1ms11, compared to a depth of approximately 20-
feet below msl in June 1986 The groundwater flow direction remained in an easterly direction at
' the average gradient of approximately 0 002 during the three month period
On May 27, 1991, a total of eleven monitoring and extraction wells were sampled and analyzed for
' the presence of BTEX and TPH-as-gasoline concentrations Analytical results reported no
detectable concentrations for any constituents in any of the samples
I
A select group of nearby domestic wells were sampled three times during the quarter and analyzed
Ifor the presence of BTEX and TPH-as-gasoline concentrations All analytical results for the samples
from the domestic wells reported non-detectable levels for all parameters analyzed
A review of the laboratory analytical results collected to date shows that decreases in the
concentrations of BTEX and TPH-as-gasoiine have occurred over the duration of the project to the
' current non-detectable levels It is apparent that the combined efforts of separate-phase product
removal, groundwater extraction, the declining water table and in situ sal venting have proven
Ieffective in removing the gasoline hydrocarbon constituents from the groundwater over the life of
the project
The groundwater extraction and treatment system was not operated during this quarter, due to the
low & to non-detectable concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons in the groundwater over the
last six months
ICLOSURE
IGroundwater Technology, Inc 4s pleased to provide Southland Corporation with this Project
Quarterly Update Report If you have any questions or need additional information regarding this
site, contact Groundwater Technology's office at 14151 671-2387
i
_JL GROUNDWATER
TECHNOLOGY, INC
I
