i
IVAPOR EXTRACTION TECHNOLOGY 89-73
LOCATION: 9 .10 THORNTON RD. , STOCKTON
' Vapor Extraction Technology, Inc. is in the business of
installing and operating clean--up systems for contaminated ground
water and soil. Currently, the petitioner has an Authority to
' Construct for a vapor extraction system at the above location.
The currently system removes the hydrocarbon contaminant from
' ground water or soil and releases them into the atmosphere
through a catalyst. The catalyst captures the majority of
hydrocarbon vapors which would otherwise be released into the
atmosphere.
' Now petitioner is proposing to add additional extraction points
which will be manifolded and will be ducted through an activated
' charcoal filter to reduce the emissions into the atmosphere. Due
to the urgency of clean-up operations and the need to process as
much soil and water before the start of the rain season, the
petitioner is unable to delay the pro3ect until an application
' for the revision is filed and processed by the District.
In this petition, the Vapor Extraction Technology is requesting a
temporary Permit to Operate the proposed system.
1 •
1
1
1
1
