V <br /> HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> Healy Property <br /> 9172 Thornton Road <br /> Stockton, California <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> PURPOSE AND SCOPE <br /> This Health and Safety Plan provides for the protection of on-site personnel and the surrounding <br /> community during site characterization activities. The requirements, specifications and <br /> procedures presented with this plan will apply to all personnel on-site including employees, sub- <br /> contractors, site visitors and regulatory agency personnel. <br /> KEY PERSONNEL <br /> The site's Safety Coordinator/Project Manager will provide training to site personnel in the use <br /> of safety and personal protection equipment and will manage the on-site monitoring program. <br /> The Safety Coordinator/Project Manager will have the authority to deny access to any individual <br /> without the proper training or protective equipment required for the site conditions or those <br /> individuals disregarding site safety procedures. All site personnel will be under the direction <br /> of the Safety Coordinator/Project Manager. <br /> HAZARD ANALYSIS <br /> The property previously held an underground gasoline storage tank used for private fueling of <br /> vehicles. Laboratory results of soil and groundwater samples collected near the former gasoline <br /> tank indicate the presence of gasoline hydrocarbons. <br /> The activities addressed by this safety plan include drilling and subsurface soil and groundwater <br /> sample collection. Although exposure at hazardous levels are unlikely, these activities present <br /> H&SPLAN.WP <br />
