Two 1,400-gallon gasoline USTs were removed from the subject <br /> r. <br /> property on June 4; 1993 (Plate 1). <br /> The scope of our work included sampling and laboratory testing of soils obtained <br /> from the UST excavation, from beneath the former dispenser locations (P1-P3), <br /> �'-• Geotechnicsi Engineering <br /> and from'a location along the westerly sidewall of the excavation (SWI). <br /> �.f <br /> Emineerim,Ge6hx_,,: Additionally, four composite samples (STK1A-D) were obtained from the stockpile <br /> 14 <br /> of soil generated during overexcavation of the former USTs and dispenser <br /> \mss Environmental C unSulting <br /> locations. In.addition to the soil samples, two water samples were also obtained <br /> �eme'3iati,=n Services from,the excavation. All samples were obtained under the direction of Mr. Eric <br /> Trevena of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Department. <br /> ,N Construction Inspection <br /> > ; Materials Train<; The UST excavation.samples were obtained by driving clean, two-inch diameter <br /> brass tubes'into soil taken from the sample locations with an backhoe bucket: <br /> The sample tubes were sealed with .polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)-coated sheets, <br /> 3050Inciustrial Blvd. <br /> cn_ plastic end caps and duct tape to reduce volatile hydrocarbon loss.
