IN REPLY REFER TO SITE CODE: 500074 <br /> Thornton, CA <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division(PHS/EHD)has recently reviewed <br /> the analytical results of the soil and/or water results taken from beneath the underground storage tank(s) that <br /> were removed from this site on June 1, 1993. <br /> The presence of contaminants at your facility exceed the allowable limits of leaching potential as recommended <br /> by the LUFT Manual 1. The former underground storage tank(s) (UST) cannot be recommended for final <br /> closure without further investigation to determine the full extent of the soil and/or groundwater problem. <br /> In addition,PHS/EHD is providing you notification that an"Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized Release <br /> (Leak)/Contaminated Site Report"has been filed pursuant to Section 25295(a)of the Health and Safety Code. <br /> In addition, the appropriate disclosure of a hazardous waste discharge pursuant to Section 25180.7 of the <br /> Health and Safety Code has been made. <br /> Should you wish to mitigate the contamination documented at your facility, San Joaquin County PHS/EHD <br /> has been designated by the State of California Water Resources Control Board as the local agency overseeing <br /> the investigation of leaking USTs.
