Stagg
Attorney at Law
3610 American River Drive, Suite 112
Sacramento, CA 95864
RE: PROJECT STATUS
UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK SITE (FORMERLY DRAKE PROPERTY)
26485 NORTH THORNTON ROAD
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Stagg: y
Groundwater Technology, Inc. submits this letter to advise all involved parties on the status of
environmental assessment and remediation at the property located at 26485 North Thornton Road.
Groundwater Technology received authorization from Mrs. Barbara J. Drake to begin work on the
project on August 9, 1994. Groundwater Technology was awarded the next phase of work based on
recommendations provided by the previous consultant (Wallace-Kuhl and Associates). Since that
time, Groundwater Technology has been in contact with Wallace-Kuhl and Associates on multiple
occasions to obtain information regarding the methods and results of previous environmental
assessment at the Site. It is our opinion that historical environmental information should be
thoroughly reviewed prior to initiating remediation and/or environmental assessment activities at the
Site. Data collected from previous investigations at the Site will provide critical information for the
effective implementation of the next phase of environmental work. On September 12, 1994,
Groundwater Technology received the final information deemed necessary for technical review, and
will begin to prepare a work plan for the next phase of work. It is anticipated that the work plan for
the next phase of work will be submitted to San Joaquin Public Health Services-Environmental
Health Division by October 7, 1994.
The information provided to Groundwater Technology by Mrs. Drake and Wallace-Kuhl and
Associates does not reference any deadlines or critical dates for project milestones related to
environmental assessment and remediation at the Site. If certain milestones and/or deadlines have
been proposed by local implementing agencies and/or other interested parties, they will need to be
considered prior to work plan preparation.
0053stauir
OffiCCs 1hr0U.Qh0u1 I&C.S.,Carrada and 01Xrseas
I
