i <br /> f+r� <br /> APPENDIX A-3: VISITOR/TRAINEE GUIDELINES <br /> Groundwater Technology, Inc. is commhted to providing a safe environment on all work sties for visitors, <br /> trair}ees, employees and/or passersby. in order to accomplish this, the following guidelines must be <br /> followed. <br /> VISITORS - <br /> 1. .VISITORS <br /> �I <br /> Any person not actively participating in the work at the site is regarded as a 'visitor" and must follow <br /> Groundwater Technology's visitor/trainee guidelines. Visitors must be accompanied by a representative <br /> while on site. <br /> She's must be marked with signs, placards, and/or barricades to designate hazardous boundaries. ' <br /> Visitors will not be allowed on any site that is not adequately marked. <br /> 2 TRAINEES <br /> Trainees are employees of Groundwater Technology who have not yet completed Groundwater <br /> Tecfinology's required safety training program. New hires and in-house company transfers will be <br /> considered trainees until safety training requirements are met. <br /> Trainees will be informed of restrictions by their supervisor and must abide by them before visiting active <br /> sites. <br /> Trainees will be permitted to visit Groundwater Technology sites as observers as long as the following <br /> conditions are met: <br /> Trainees are supervised at all times while observing on site. <br /> • Trainees do not perform work functions of any type while on site. <br /> Trainees do not handle any equipment, tools and/or supplies while on she. <br /> • Trainees do not enter any hazardous or hot zone or confined space areas while on site. <br /> Supervisors will be responsible for informing trainees of the above conditions and for ensuring that the <br /> conditions are met. Supervisors will also ensure that trainees will not be asked to violate the conditions <br /> listed above. <br /> A Trainee/Observer Agreement Form must be signed by both the trainee and the supervisor and placed <br /> on file in the Regional Human Resources department. <br /> .I <br /> infractions of the above agreement will be viewed as extremely serious and will be subject to <br /> discipline up to and including termination for either the trainee and/or supervisor. <br /> i <br /> Y <br /> GROUNDWATER <br /> l .,'� TEcttNOLOCY <br />
