3.11 Once you have characterized an item you will need to log the item as generated waste that day. Do the following <br /> a. Find the log in the waste area. <br /> b. Fill out the log per the following: <br /> i. ASIN:The ASIN you used to find hazmat information about the product in PanDash. <br /> ii. Product Title:The title of the ASIN as specified in PanDash. <br /> iii. Product Size/Weight:The size or weight as specified on the packaging(if available). <br /> iv. Quantity:The quantity of the ASIN you are placing into the hazardous waste bin. <br /> V. Date:The date when you place the ASIN in the bin. <br /> vi. Initials:Your initials. <br /> vii. Container:Write the name of the container, e.g. Flammables, Nonflamgas&Tox, Oxidizers, etc. <br /> viii. Vendor Shipping Container#: Leave this field blank.The vendor must enter the corresponding <br /> shipping container number per the manifest in this field at time of shipment. <br /> An example of a log entry looks like the following: <br /> Regulated Waste Log <br /> Purpose: To track the type and quantity of regulated waste stored onsite. <br /> Instructions: For each product added to a container,record the information in the table below. A separate form is required for each container. <br /> Da not sign the manifest until this log <br /> Manifest# (Filled by Waste Vendor) <br /> is completed by waste Vendor <br /> Vendor Shipping <br /> Product Container# <br /> ASIN ProduetTitle Quanti date Initials Container <br /> Size/Weight (Filled in 6y <br /> waste vendor <br /> B0014A01TO Nina by N'na Ricci Perfume loot 3 11117`17 KAO F12-nire3 e= <br /> 3.11.1 After the items on the log have been shipped by the vendor, retain the log at the end of Chapter <br /> 8 for 60 days. Always start a new log when the vendor has picked up the waste from the <br /> hazardous waste bins.The log must only show what you are currently storing in the bins. <br /> 3.12 If your ASIN does not match any of the criteria described in this procedure,and you do not suspect that the ASIN <br /> may be regulated per waste regulations,you can dispose of it in the regular waste stream. You have now completed the <br /> characterization of the ASIN and can begin characterizing the next box/item by starting the process over at section 3.2. <br /> 3.13 If your ASIN does not match any of the handouts but you suspect the ASIN may be regulated by waste regulations, <br /> or you have an unknown item,you need to quarantine the item and submit a SIM (Simple Issue Management): <br /> a. Place the item or box into a bag and close the bag with a zip tie. <br /> b. Label the bag with the "Awaiting Designation" label. <br /> c. Place the bag onto the waste rack on the shelf labeled as "Quarantine—Product Under Review". <br /> d.
