Our
subject testing was performed on January 27 , 1993 . This letter
presents the results of our testing.
fOur representative performed field density tests on the upper 12-
inches of aggregate base materials within the contaminant removal
area . Field density tests .,ere performed in accordance with ASTM
Test Designations D2922-81 and D3017-78 (Nuclear Probe Method) .
Our test data indicate that the upper portion of the aggregate base
materials were compacted to a minimum of 95 percent compaction
relative to the laboratory determined maximum dry density.
We performed a laboratory compaction test on a representative
sample of the aggregate base materials . The compaction test was
performed it accordance with 1-STM Test Designation D1557-78 , Method
C The material tested had a maximum dry density of 136 pounds per
cubic foot at an optimum moisture content of 7 . 5 percent.
3176 INDUSTRIAL BLVD .
