Purpose <br /> IThis report presents the results of the remediation of diesel contaminated soil at 32 Tokay <br /> Street, Warehouse 6 (APN 047-030-20,-18,-06) Unauthorized Release Lodi California <br /> (Appendix C) The services were performed for Pacific Coast Producers, 631 North Cluff <br />' Avenue, Lodi, California, the current Property owner Contact Mr Ron Myers at (209) <br /> 367-8800 <br />' The purpose of this project was remediation of contaminated soil from an unauthorized release <br /> of diesel fuel noted at an abandonment of an underground storage tank Early work was <br />' performed by Suda Inc , and Kleinfelder Corporation Recent work is being performed by <br /> Dufour Environmental There is minimal documentation of previous work done on this site, <br /> what is available is summarized and referenced in the following section <br />' Backgrround Events <br /> A 10,000 gallon underground storage tank was removed on March 26, 1987 Soil <br /> contamination was noted during the removal by Laurie Cotulla of the San Joaquin Local <br /> Health District Under direction, soil samples were taken and sent to a state certified <br />' laboratory for analyses The analyses performed were EPA method 8015, (Total Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons for Diesel, Method 3550/GC-FID), and EPA method 8020, (Benzene, Toluene, <br /> Xylene, and Ethylbenzene, Method GC-FID) An " Unauthorized Release/ Contamination <br /> Site Report" was issued by David Carls of the San Joaquin Local Health District on May 18, <br /> 1988 The UST has been referred to as either "Tank B" or Tank 4" in previous reports Both <br />' describe the same Location and underground Storage Tank Contaminated soil was excavated <br /> and stockpiled pending further action <br /> Summer harvest season required heavy access across this site For that reason the excavation <br /> pit was backfilled and paved over This is documented by notes taken form Brad Ober of PCP <br /> in Lodi, dated 11 May 1987 as authorized by Laurie Cotulla of the San Joaquin Local Health <br />' District (Appendix C) The excavation pit was filled with a blend of stockpiled soil and clean <br /> fill, and was compacted to OSHA Specifications. Later, Pacific Coast Producers approached <br /> Dufour Environmental about closure of this case The past events were reviewed, several <br /> members of Pacific Coast Producers were interviewed, and the decision to conduct a soil <br /> sampling and analysis <br /> tFurther soil analysis was necessary to evaluate the condition of the excavation site and the <br /> surrounding soils Hand auger borings were made approximately five (5) feet perpendicular of <br />' the former position of Tank B extending in north, south, east, and west directions and through; <br /> its renter.
