One monitoring well is <br /> proposed near the source area for vertical definition in groundwater, and one is <br /> proposed north/northeast of the i site for lateral groundwater definition.it!Ihat direction. <br /> No soil data exists for the area north/northeast of the former tank pit, the area.where.soil <br /> borings advanced in June 1997, (B-7,B-8 and B-9),had free-product upon sampling and <br /> heavily contaminated water upon analysis. <br /> Limited:soil data does exist for the areas south and southwest of the former tank Pit. <br /> Pending field observations of the borings for vertical definition in the source area,:the. <br /> necessity of it tore still.data from these areas can be further evaluated. <br /> PHS/EHD approves the work plan with the addition of a soil boring to the north/northeast <br /> and possible elimination lof the proposed borings to the south and southwest: Please <br /> submit a boring permit applica#ion and$x39:.00 fee to:PHS/END. <br /> if you have;any questions please call Lori Duncan at(209)468-0337. <br /> Donna Heron; REHS <br /> Director, Envirot.mental.
