The
EHD does not agree with this determination or recommendation. The vertical extent of
the groundwater contamination has been defined by monitoring wells MW-1A, which has a
screen interval from 23-28 bsg,1and MW-7, with a screen interval from 36-41 feet bsg.
The lateral extent of the shallow, groundwater contamination is defined by wells MW-2A,
MW-3, MW-5, MW-6 and GLMW-3. In the early phases of the site investigation direct
push soil boring were advanced onsite to collect soil and grab groundwater samples for
analysis. Results of the groundwater analysis indicate the dissolved contamination
extended beyond the area of the MW-1A, MW-1B and MW-7 cluster, but not as far as the
lateral well locations. The EHD considers the sum of the site investigation results already
available to be sufficient for planning the groundwater remediation.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Sincerely,
Lori Duncan, REHS MargarioR
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist Program Coordinator
c: James Barton, CVRWQCB, 11620 Sun Center Drive #200, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
Lauren Cardinelli, AGE, 837 Shaw Avenue, Stockton CA 95215
,
