Trinkle & Boys Environmental CIG Request 9 August 2011
Soil and Groundwater
Environmental investigations were conducted under the oversight of the Central Valley Water
Board. A study in 1989 detected DDT and endosulfan in soil. However, a follow-up study in 2008
failed to detect any DDT or endosulfan, showing that these compounds had degraded. Some soil
samples from 2008 contained dinoseb at concentrations below thresholds of concern.
In 1989, groundwater from one of the monitoring wells contained low concentrations of silvex,
bromacil, carbaryl, carbofuran and methomyl. These concentrations were below concentrations of
concern to human health, and were not detected in four quarters of groundwater monitoring in
2009 and 2010. Because pollutants are not detected at concentrations of concern to human
health or the environment, Central Valley Water Board is considering closing the site. yy
9R;
RUNWAY
LEGEND S9T A
0
Moniobrq WQ Lorlim(20J09 1 1PI g
'cy ■
Soil Bmrq Loc4xaf(200:3)
StL:rAn'zFlmu— fill
.L MomioxigWeIlLocsim(1991:1 N
CrurelBassfLa)
Soil Boa*Locl rg(1989) Figure 2.
