' 21 December 2001
i AGE-NC Protect No 96-0254
' The prevailing ground water flow direction at the site is generally toward the north which is
consistent with the previously determined flow directions
• Petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water was encountered in samples from momtonng
' wells MW-1B, MW-4 and MW-7 with benzene concentrations exceeding the State of
California maximum contaminant level(MCL)of 1 gg/l in samples collected from the wells
' Low concentration of MTBE was detected in the ground water samples collected from
MW-1B and MW-4 The MTBE concentrations did not exceed the State of California
primary maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 13 ppb In general, overall hydrocarbon
' concentrations have increased slightly this quarter Isocontour maps illustrating the
approximate distribution of dissolved TPH-g, benzene and MTBE in the shallow screened
wells are presented in Figures 4, 5, and 6
1
' 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the results of this investigation, AGE recommends, continued quarterly ground water
'• monitoring at the site The next monitoring event should be scheduled for January 2002
Additionally, AGE recommends analysis of water samples for ethylene dibromide and
' 1,2-dichloroethane and the preparation of a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) as discussed during a
meeting with San Joaquin County PHS-EHD on 02 November 2001.
6.0. LIMITATIONS
I Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the
geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a
limited number of available data points(i a monitoring well ground water samples),and subsurface
conditions may vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied,is made
as to the professional recommendations contained in this report
Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc
I
