PROCEDURES The ground water monitoring activities were conducted in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board and San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) guidelines for the subsurface Investigation of UST sites 2 1 GROUND WATER DEPTH MEASUREMENT AND PURGING On 17 December 1998,a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in each well relative to the tops of the well casings After ground water depth measurements were collected, each monitoring well was purged using a two-stage submersible pump Three gallons of water(a minimum of 3 well volumes per well)were evacuated from MW-3, MW-5 and MW-6, four gallons of water were removed from wells MW-1B, MW-2B and ten gallons of water were purged ' from MW-lA and MW-2A Temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at I-gallon intervals In wells MW-1 B, MW-2B, MW-3, MW-5 and MW-6, and at 2-gallon intervals in wells MW-IA and MW-2A The field data • were measured with an ICM model 52200 water analyzer Logs of the field data are included in Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site in labeled 55-gallon drums Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc
