I
iRevised Quarterly Report - September 1998
Curtiss Pontiac Buick
2450 Toste Road, Tracy, California
10 INTRODUCTION
I At the request of Mr Joe Toste, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
Quarterly Report for 2450 Taste Road in Tracy, California (the site) The scope of work Included
the sampling of five ground water monitoring wells The site setting is Illustrated In Figure I A plan
Iview of the site is Illustrated in Figure 2
A summary of previous Investigation at the site is included in the Preliminary Investigation and
Evaluation Report(PIER),prepared by AGE, dated 15 August 1997 and Quarterly Report, prepared
by AGE, dated 18 September 1997
IThis report is prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board and
San Toaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD)
' guidelines for the subsurface investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites
Ground water monitoring data collected from monitoring well MW-3,part of the UST investigation
lieat 2420 Grant Line Road, are Included in this investigation to delineate the down gradient extent of
the plume of dissolved hydrocarbons and to determine ground water flow direction and gradient
2.0. PROCEDURES
I The ground water monitoring activities were conducted in accordance with Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board and San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental
Health Division(PHS-EHD) guidelines for the subsurface investigation of underground storage tank
(UST) sites
21 GROUND WATER DEPTH MEASUREMENT AND PURGING
A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in each well relative to
the tops of the well casings After ground water depth measurements were collected, each monitoring
well was purged using a two-stage submersible pump Four gallons of water (a minimum of 3 well
volumes per well) were evacuated from MW-IB, MW-2B, MW-3, MW-5 and MW-6, I0 gallons
of water were purged from MW-1A and MW-2A
I Temperature,pH and conductivity of were measured at I-gallon intervals in wells MW-1B, MW-213,
MW-3, MW-5 and MW-6, and at 2-gallon intervals In wells MW-IA and MW-2A The field data
were measured with an ICM model 52200 water analyzer Logs of the field data are included in
Advamed GeoEntironmental Inc
I
