• Revised Quarterly Report - March 1998
Curtiss Pontiac Buick
2450 Toste Road, Tracy, California
t1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Joe Toste,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE) has prepared this Revised
Quarterly Report for 2450 Toste Road in Tracy, California (the site) The scope of work included
the installation and sampling of five ground water monitoring wells The location of the site is
illustrated in Figure 1 A plan view of the site, including boring and monitoring well locations, is
illustrated in Figure 2
A summary of previous investigation at the site is included in the Preliminary Investigation and
Evaluation Report(PIER), prepared by AGE and dated 15 August 1997
This report is prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board and
San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD)
guidelines for the subsurface investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites
Ground water monitoring data collected from the UST investigation at 2420 Grant Line Road will
• be used for this investigation to demonstrate the down gradient extent of the dissolved hydrocarbons
from the site Ground water monitoring well MW-3, from the 2420 Grant Line Road site, will
provide data for chemical characterization of the ground water, plume delineation and flow direction
and gradient calculations
1 2.0. PROCEDURES
1 Initially, the scope of work for the ground water investigation at the Curtiss site included the
installation of six wells However, due to a mechanical failure of drilling equipment, only five wells
were installed at the site The sixth well was proposed to be located within the northeastern portion
of the dissolved plume Therefore, the up-gradient well (MW-3) installed for the UST investigation
at 2420 Grant Line Road will provide down gradient information for the site investigation at 2450
Toste Road (Figure 2)
IIf data from the site investigation indicates that the sixth well should be located within the northern
portion of the dissolved plume at 2450 Toste Road, then field procedures for installation will be
completed
I21 DRILLING AND SAMPLING
• On 12 and 13 February 1998 five ground water monitoring wells were installed on-site and off-site
Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc
