INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Joe Toste Jr Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared the <br /> enclosed initial work plan for 2450 Toste Road in Tracy, California The location of the site is <br /> illustrated in Figure 1 A plan of the site is illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> This plan is presented in response to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental <br /> Health Division(PHS-EHD) letter dated 04 January 1998, requiring an initial work plan and current <br /> site specific health safety plan This work plan has been prepared to further assess petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water related to the former leaking underground storage tanks <br /> (USTs) at the site This plan is prepared in accordance with Appendix A to Tri-Regional <br /> Recommendations - Reporting, dated 30 August 1991, prepared by the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (Appendix A- Reports) for the investigation of UST sites <br /> The purpose of this additional site assessment is to evaluate the Iateral and vertical extent of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon impacts to soil and ground water at the site The scope of work of this plan <br /> includes installation of five soil probe borings, two ground water wells, and collection of soil and <br /> ground water samples for laboratory analysis <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 2 1 SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located in a business/agricultural area of western Tracy, California, in San Joaquin County <br /> (Figure 1) The property is located in a highway-retail business development owned by Mr Joe <br /> Taste,Jr A new and used car sales lot is located on the property Two large structures, a showroom <br /> office complex and a auto detailing/storage shop, are located on the property The eastern edge of <br /> the property lies adjacent to Grant Line Gas and Food, a UST site currently undergoing assessment <br /> of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil and groundwater <br /> 2 2 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> AGE has been informed that three USTs, dispensers and piping were removed from the site on 31 <br /> July 1991 The removal was witnessed by a representative of the PHS-EHD Tracking records for <br /> waste removed from the UST should have been supplied to the PHS-EHD in the UST removal <br /> report History of the UST use, tank tests, product inventory and repairs are not known to AGE <br /> Advanced GcoEnvironmentai,Inc <br />
