IQuartorly Report - First Quarter 2003
I Former CURTISS PONTIAC-BUICK
2450 Toste Road, Tracy, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Joe Toste of J T Storage, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has
prepared this quarterly report for 2450 Toste Road, Tracy, California(the site) The scope of work
included monitoring and sampling the ground water monitoring well network, laboratory analysis
I of ground water samples, data analysis and preparation of this report The site setting is illustrated
in Figure 1 A plan view of the site is illustrated in Figure 2
Sumrnanes of previous investigations at the site are included in the AGE-prepared Preliminary
Investigation and Evaluation Report(PIER),dated 15 August 1997 and Quarterly Report,dated 18
September 1997 Quarterly monitoring data from February 1998 to present is summanzed in
Tables 1 and 2 of this report
2.0. PROCEDURES
Field work was conducted and this report was prepared in accordance with guidelines issued by the
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for subsurface investigation
of underground storage tank (UST) sites and guidelines issued by the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department(EHD) for sampling ground water monitoring wells
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 12 March 2003, a Solnnst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in
each well relative to the top of the well casing After ground water depth measurements were
recorded, monitoring wells MWA through MW-7 were purged using disposable plastic bailers
Between 4 and 11 gallons of water were evacuated from monitoring wells MWA through MW-6,
equivalent to three casing-water volumes per well Monitoring well MW-7 was bailed dry after
evacuating approximately one well volume (6 gallons) Temperature, pH and conductivity were
measured at one- or two-gallon intervals with an Oakton water analyzer Logs of the field data are
included in Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site in labeled DOT-approved 55-gallon drums
Groundwater monitoring data from monitoring well GLMW-3,located at Grant Line Gas and Food,
2420 Grant Line Road, has been included in flus investigation to determine ground water flow
direction and gradient
•
Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc-
