' 26 February 2
. ry 003
' AGE-NC Project No. 96-0254
' maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 1 µg/1 in samples collected from wells MW-113 and
MW-4.
' MTBE was detected in the ground water samples collected from MW-1B, MW-2B and
MW-4; MTBE concentrations in sample MW-1B exceeded the State of California MCL of
13 µg/1 in drinking water.
' Concentrations of TPH-g, BTEX compounds and MTBE detected in wells MW-1B and
MW-4 were at 'non-nal' levels during the fourth quarter sampling event- The elevated
' concentrations detected during the previous quarter appear to have been anomalous.
' 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based on the results of this investigation, AGE recommends continued quarterly ground water monitoring at the site;the next monitoring event should be scheduled for January 2002.Additionally,
AGE recommends completion of the scope of work proposed in the AGE-prepared Remedial Action
Plan (RAP) dated 31 October 2002,pending approval by the EHD. Work to be completed includes
abandoning monitoring wells MW-1, MW-4 and MW-7 for excavation of petroleum hydrocarbon-
impacted soil from the former UST area.
6.0. LIMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarilyexercised b
Y
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluation of the hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of
available data points (i.e. monitoring well ground water samples), and subsurface conditions may
' vary away from these data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the
professional interpretations, opinions and recommendations contained in this report.
I
I
I
I
i
Advanced GeaEnvironmental Inc.
I
