J <br /> 1 <br /> ATTACHMENT A <br /> REMEDIAL SYSTEM PERFORMANCE EVALUATION <br /> Soil vapor extraction (SVE) and air sparging were Initiated on January 4, 1996 and June 18, 1997, <br /> respectively A brief description and performance evaluation of the remedial system between June 11 <br /> and September 11, 1998 is presented below <br /> SVE System <br /> The SVE system is comprised of 1 I SVE wells (VES-1 through VES-7, and ATR-3, ATR4, ATR-5, <br /> and TEX-1) and a King Buck Hasstech 100 cfm catalytic oxidizer The SVE system is permitted by <br /> the San Joaquin County Unified Air Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD) Permit to Operate <br /> Number N-3413-1-0, for operation through January 1, 2002 <br /> The SVE system was not operated this quarter due to high groundwater elevations and low influent <br /> vapor concentrations making operation of the SVE not feasible To date, the SVE system has removed <br /> approximately 2,955 pounds of TPH-g from the soil and groundwater beneath the site Historical SVE <br /> system performance and analytical data is summarized in Tables A-1 and A-2 Graphical <br /> presentations of TPH-g mass removal and influent concentration data are shown on Figures A-1 and <br /> A-2 <br /> Air Sparging System <br /> The air sparge system is comprised of I I air sparge wells (VES-1 through VES-7, S-1 through S-3, <br /> and SMW-1) and a Conde 7 5-horsepower sparge blower <br /> The air sparging system operated at an average infection pressure of 7 psi and an average flow rate of <br /> 25 cfin Air sparging system operational data including well open/closed status, flow rate and applied <br /> pressure data are presented in Table A-3 Dissolved oxygen levels for site wells is presented in <br /> Table A-4 <br /> Attachments Table A-I - Soil Vapor Extraction System Performance Data <br /> Table A-2 - Soil Vapor Extraction Emission Data <br /> Table A-3 - Air Sparging System Well Data <br /> Table A4 - Dissolved Oxygen Well Concentrations <br /> Figure A-I - Soil Vapor Extraction System Removal Trend <br /> Figure A-2 - Soil Vapor Extraction System Hydrocarbon Concentrations <br /> Attachment A-A - Remedial System Field Data Sheets <br /> 7G600-026-01\3Q98 doc A-] December I I 1998 <br />
