f
Mr Kyle Christie
April 4, 1995
., Page 2
Results and Discussion
Summaries of depth-to-water measurements and calculated groundwater elevations are
presented in Table 1 Table 2 lists past and present groundwater flow directions and hydraulic
gradients for this site
Analytical results of groundwater samples are summarized in Table 3 The complete
laboratory report for the sampling event is presented in Exhibit A. Figure 2 shows TPH-G
and BTEX concentrations for this sampling event
The general groundwater flow direction beneath the site on December 16, 1994, was to the
northeast under a hydraulic gradient of approximately 0 002 (Figure 1)
Since groundwater monitoring began in April, 1987, the general groundwater flow direction
has ranged from north to east at this site The hydraulic gradient measured this quarter is
within the range of previously reported gradients Depth-to-water on December 16, 1994
ranged from 8 29 feet in Well ATR-8 to 12 74 feet in Well ATR-1 Since the last quarterly
monitoring event (October 7, 1994), water-level elevations in the monitoring wells have
increased an average of 0 35 feet.
Benzene concentrations this quarter ranged from nondetectable in wells ATR-1, ATR-2,
ATR-6, ATR-7, ATR-9, ATR-10, and ATR-11 to 740 micrograms per liter (pg/1) in well
SMW-1 These concentrations are within the range of previously reported values. TPH-G
concentrations ranged from nondetectable in wells ATR-1, ATR-2, ATR-6, ATR-7, ATR-9,
ATR-10, and ATR-11 to 5200 pg/1 in well SMW-1 These concentrations are consistent with
previous values The detection limit for benzene is 0.5 pg/i and for TPH-G is 50 pg/1. Wells
ATR-8 and ATR-3 were not sampled due to the presence of a free product sheen.
SUMMARY OF WORK
Work Completed in Fourth Quarter 1994
Sampled site groundwater monitoring wells for the fourth quarter 1994 Sampling
performed by GTI
• Prepared and submitted third quarter 1994 groundwater monitoring report.
Use or disclosure of data contained on this sheet is subject to the restriction specified at the beginning of this
document
1264NREPORTS4TH94QTR=
