Page .14 of 23 Standard Operating Procedures <br /> Health and Safely Plans <br /> 9.0 MONITORING PROCEDURES FOR SITE OPERATIONS <br /> 9.1 Monitoring During Site Operations <br /> It is not anticipated that project personnel exposure will exceed the TLVs or PELs of the <br /> gasoline compounds. However, proper personal protective equipment will be worn while <br /> working at the Site In addition, the SHSM will monitor the breathing zone and ambient air, <br /> frequently during Site operations, using a Thermo Environmental Instruments Model 580 organic <br /> vapor meter (OVM). If the OVM readings are consistently exceeding 100 ppm (113 of the TLV <br /> for gasoline), personnel will be required to withdraw from the Site and the level of personal <br /> protection will be upgraded before entering the Site. <br /> 9.2 Medical Surveillance Requirements <br /> Medical surveillance specifies any special medical monitoring and examination requirements as <br /> well as stipulates that all Roux Associates personnel and subcontractors are required to pass the <br /> medical surveillance examination or equivalent for hazardous waste work required by 29 CFR <br /> 1910.120 As a minimum, the examination will include <br /> • Complete medical and work histones <br /> • EKG <br /> • Unnalysis <br /> • Physical Exam <br /> • Eye Exam <br /> • Blood Chemistry <br /> • Pulmonary Function Test <br /> • Audiometry <br /> The examination will be taken annually, at a minimum, and upon termination of employment <br /> with the company Additional medical testing may be required by the OHSM in consultation <br /> with the company physician and the SHSM if an overt exposure or accident occurs, or if other <br /> Site conditions warrant further medical surveillance. <br /> ROUX ASSOCIATES HASP 4193 3425 Tracy Boulevard <br /> Tracy,Califorma <br />
