The highest benzene concentration (2.2 ppm) i
was identified:.in the sample collected from a depth of 10 feet in borehole VES-3.
Well SMW-1 was purged and sampled on October 7, 1994, by Groundwater Technology Inc.
during the scheduled third quarter monitoring and sampling event for this site. The
groundwater sample was analyzed for BTEX and TPH-G. The results of the groundwater
sample collected from this and the other monitoring wells at the site are included in BC's
January 11, 1995, third quarter monitoring report. Analytical results indicate that dissolved
hydrocarbon constituents are present in the groundwater in this location at concentrations of
250 parts per billion (ppb) for benzene and 2,200 ppb for TPH-G.
a
If you have any questions, please contact me at (916) 444-0123.
i
Sincerely,
BROWN AND CALDWELL
1
Steve Misner Pat Cullen
R Program Manager California Registered Geologist#4932
1
SM:ksc
Enclosures
cc: Mr. Harlin Knoll, San Joaquin County Health Department t
1
1
' u
J F
M
1
f 021241 MA7524\REPORM7524-011-1
F: QMS-PS2200
I! a
