N-3413-1-0 <br /> Status for reporting period: <br /> A King-Buck 100 cfm catalytic oxidizer was installed on the soil vapor extraction system(SVE)in November, 1995 and and <br /> began operation in January of 1996. The system currently operates without air sparging. Air sparging will begin in the first <br /> quarter of 1997 to increase influent soil vapor concentrations. The influent soil vapor concentrations have decreased significantly <br /> during the fourth quarter 1996 due to high water levels. The SVE system operated 32%of the reporting period and removed 74 <br /> pounds of hydrocarbons at an average extraction rate of 61 cfm with dilution air. The SVE blower was replaced in an effort to <br /> increase operational time. <br /> �I <br /> The oxidizer influent and effluent VOC concentrations are monitored monthly using a photo-ion ion ization detector(PID)per air <br /> permit requirements. The PID readings measured this period indicate the system was operating in compliance with SJVUAPCD <br /> requirements.
