1 . 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This document is intended to fulfil'_ all the requirements for a 1 <br /> Corrective Action Plan for Chevron Station 9-8264, as requested by <br /> San Joaquin County. The service station is located at 3775 Tracy <br /> Boulevard in Tracy, California (Figure 1) . On November 7, 1995 , <br /> underground storage tanks (US?sj and surface facilities for service- <br /> station operations were removed. Furthe.= renovation work is <br /> pending. <br /> The scope of work proposed in this work plan includes: <br /> * Preliminary Site Assessment I <br /> * Sail/Groundwater investigation <br /> Soil Excavation <br /> A Proposal for Verification Monitoring <br /> Further corrective action measured may be necessary depending on <br /> findings from the activities proposed in this workplan. <br /> 2 . 0 SITE CONDITIONS <br /> The site is an operating service station awaiting renovation. The <br /> station was constructed in 1972 , and the original USTs (tw6-10 , 000 <br /> gallon and one-6 , 000 gallon capacity for gasoline and one-1500 <br /> gallon for used oil) were removed on November 7, 1995 . All USTs <br /> have tested "tight" since 1986 . Depth .to groundwater has beer, <br /> observed at 10 feet below grade surface (bgs) . � <br /> 3 . 0 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 'I <br /> A combination of site assessment and soil remediation_ will be <br /> performed concurrently. Soil remediation will occur by excavation <br /> as obvious areas of hydrocarbon impacted soil are axposed and <br /> overexcavated during construction activities. Additional site <br /> assessment will follow construction, with the installation of four <br /> soil borings and four monitoring wells, positioned to help <br /> determine lateral and vertical extent of any residua'_ contamination <br /> (Figure 2 ) . <br /> rLA, <br /> X <br />
