PRECOiSION
•
1.0 Introduction
This report presents the Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) data collected at
Chevron Station #9-8264 in Tracy, CA on May 6-8, 2002
1.1 Field Equipment and Procedures
The Cone Penetration Tests were completed by Precision Sampling using an
electronic cone penetrometer Four soundings were pushed with Precision's
25-ton CPT truck to depths of approximately 30-35 feet All soundings were
conducted in accordance with ASTM standards (13344 1)
The penetration data was collected using the following parameters-
➢ Tip Resistance (Qc)
➢ Sleeve Friction (Fs)
➢ Pore Pressure (Ut) •
These and other parameters were collected, calculated and punted in real
time in the field. All data was also stored on a diskette.
Baseline readings were collected before and after soundings in order to
monitor cone electronics. Baseline monitoring assures proper cone
operation
1400 South 50th Street• Richmond, CA 94804 • (510) 237-4575 • FAX (510) 237-4574
http //www urecistonsamphnt com
Nationwide Direct Push Seraces
1-800-671-4744
