Tracy Blvd.
Tracy, CA
San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division(PHD/EHD)is the lead agency providing
the oversight of the investigation and cleanup of releases from underground storage tanks within San Joaquin County.
PHS/EHD entered into contract with California State Water Resources Control Board to conduct an underground
storage tank corrective action program. Section 25299.37(c)of the Health and Safety Code provides us the authority
to require an investigation and cleanup of unauthorized releases. The site at 3788 N. Tracy Blvd.,,Tracy, was placed
in the Local Oversight Program in March, 1991, and this agency has been providing oversight of the investigation
and cleanup activities since that time.
This agency has reviewed reports submitted which contain soil and groundwater data collected as it relates to the
unauthorized release and cleanup. Both soil and groundwater contamination may still exist at this site but at
relatively low concentration. At this time, no further action regarding the soil at this site is required by this agency.
Monitoring wells have been installed at this site and quarterly monitoring/sampIing of groundwater is acceptable at
this time.
Redevelopment of this site can be considered, however, the monitoring/remedial activities and the daily operations
are to be compatible and mutually non-interfering. Existing monitoring wells must remain in good condition and
must function as reliable data points.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, contact Harlin Knoll, REHS, at (209) 468-3442.
I
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Harlin Knoll, Senior REHS Diane M.kson.
