1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report provides specific information requested by the San Joaquin County <br /> Department of Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division (SJCPHSIEHD) <br /> This information is provided in support of Unocal Corporation's (Unocal's) petition for <br /> closure of the former Unocal Service Station # 6348 As shown in Figure 1 , the <br /> ' <br /> subject site is located at 3788 Tracy Boulevard, Tracy, California. <br /> ' In direct response to the requests of the Technical Advisory Committee of the <br /> ' SJCPHSIEHD, Mittelhauser Corporation (Mittelhauser) performed additional site <br /> characterization to further assess the occurrence of hydrocarbons and volatile organic <br /> ' compounds beneath former Unocal Station #6348 The Additional Site <br /> Characterization report, attached as Appendix A, indicates that no contaminants of <br /> ' concern were detected in the soil and groundwater. <br /> In addition to that investigation, Mr Harlin Knoll of the SJCPHSIEHD requested a <br /> summary of 10 information items required by SJCPHS as "Closure Documentation" <br /> ' This report provides that documentation <br /> 20 CLOSURE DOCUMENTATION <br /> ' 21 DISTANCE TO PRODUCTION WATER WELLS <br /> ' As shown in Figure 2, there are no known municipal wells within 2,000 feet of the <br /> site. The nearest known municipal well is located approximately 1 mile south of the <br /> ' subject site Historical San Joaquin County sanitation permits suggest that private <br /> domestic wells may exist northwest of the site, along Larch Road and Tracy <br /> ' Boulevard.
